About me
I work with organizations and individuals to shape the path from intention to impact — at the intersection of capital, partnerships, and people.
Where I love to come in: when intention needs to be translated into a clear path, a workable structure, and tangible action.
In Essence
I help capital move with intention.
I help organizations scale their impact sustainably.
I help individuals align their work with what truly matters.
How I Work
I work alongside you — as a thinking partner, and when needed, hands-on in making things happen.
I start by understanding where you are — your ambition, your context, your challenges, and what you are truly trying to achieve. From there we explore what is needed, may connect the non-obvious dots, and shape the right path forward, together. Because moving from intention to action is never just about the structure — the people and behavioral side is equally important, and often where initiatives truly succeed or stall.
What drives me
Meaningful change — whether in organizations or in our own lives — starts with one person standing up and deciding it matters.
I have seen this play out repeatedly — inside organizations where someone chose to challenge the status quo, with founders of social enterprises who refused to accept that change wasn't possible, and with individuals navigating their own next chapter with courage and clarity.
I believe everyone has the potential to be that person. Sometimes they just need the right support, at the right moment, to take that step
My Journey
I spent most of my career in global finance, structuring complex financing solutions and partnerships across markets and sectors. For a long time, I genuinely enjoyed this work.
But over time, a question kept surfacing that I couldn't ignore:
Is this where I can make the difference I truly care about?
The answer didn't come all at once. It emerged gradually — through moments like realizing that financing an MRI machine in Europe is rarely a challenge, but financing that same equipment in Africa can determine whether it exists at all. That was financing changing lives.
It was the growing sense that this was where my expertise and my drive to contribute could truly meet — where applying my financing skills could mean something beyond the transaction. That clarity led me into impact finance, and particularly into expanding access to healthcare in underserved communities.
What I built — and what I learned
At Philips, I built and led the impact finance practice — including designing and launching a $100m blended impact investment fund, mobilizing public, private, and philanthropic capital to address the missing middle in African healthcare financing.
I also co-led the transition of the Philips Foundation from grant-making toward impact investing — enabling social innovators to scale solutions and expand access to care for millions of people across Africa and Southeast Asia.
Working with the Group Sustainability team, I led the first intrapreneurship program at Philips. What I saw there stayed with me: when you connect people's purpose to their work, and create the right environment and sometimes a safe space to do so, amazing things happen.
It reinforced something I now consider essential: when moving from intention to action, the people and behavioral side is never secondary. It is often where the real work happens — and where initiatives succeed or stall.
These two experiences — impact finance and working with people from the inside — shaped both my advisory work today and the design of a personal growth program, WhaTnxT.
People are at the heart of everything
At the end of the day, organizations are people. Structures are designed by people. And change — whether in a fund, a foundation, or a personal career — is always driven by people deciding to act.
Having first participated in and then led a peer-learning journey through the intrapreneurship program, I experienced firsthand what facilitated spaces can enable — the clarity, the courage, and the connections that emerge when people are trusted and supported to act on what truly matters to them.
That insight became increasingly personal. My move from commercial finance to impact finance was my own WhaTnxT — exciting, sometimes scary, and absolutely worth it. And I'm still in the middle of it.
That lived experience is what led me to develop the WhaTnxT program — for individuals who sense something is emerging but can't yet put words to it, or who have a feel for the direction but haven't yet found the right path forward.
Beyond the work
I am a rider and a reader. I love good conversations, shared meals, and bringing people together. I engage with genuine curiosity — whether that person is a foundation director, a social entrepreneur in Nairobi, or someone sitting with a quiet sense that something needs to change. Fairness and dignity matter deeply to me.
And when I'm not working, you'll most likely find me outdoors — in nature, on horseback, or simply enjoying the world at a slower pace.
